the breeze newspaper

Being the Art Director for the Breeze, James Madison University's student newspaper, was as rewarding as it was challenging. It was my job to brainstorm and execute the creative vision and design for each cover, 33 in all. I also reviewed page layouts for each section and created graphics as needed. Although the hours were brutal, I am so thankful for the experience because it was in that role that I became really comfortable using Adobe InDesign and learned what it was like to work hard to meet deadlines. Every Thursday I smiled when I saw my designs in the bright yellow newspaper stands.
